More Info
Born in New York City, senior Trevon Hughes is possibly the speediest player on the Badgers roster and has started 56 consecutive games and appeared in 99 throughout his career. With eight games of 20 plus points on his resume, he has proven he can score big. Hughes is also fond of histrionic plays, having two last-second game-winning shots in 2008-09. Hughes is able to play boldly on the defensive as well as a cagey on-ball defender. He has led the club to rank fourth in the Big Ten in steals for the past two years.
Senior captain Hughes has hit the record books hard in his time at Wisconsin. He ranks 10th in UW history with 122 career steals. At the start of the 2009-10 season, Hughes needs 30 3-pointers and 71 3-point attempts to break the schools all-time top 10 list in their respective categories. Hughes also became the 34th member of Wisconsin’s 1,000 point club at the Cal Poly game in 2009. In 2010, Hughes is a Bob Cousy Award finalist and scored 20 or more points five times in throughout the season, ranking him 7th in the Big Ten. Hughes has been a huge asset to the Badgers and fans hope to see him excel on the court in the NBA someday.
