Scot Tolzien has just now seen action as a reserve quarterback. In the previous two seasons, Scott was a red-shirt freshman, and didn’t play as a sophomore in 2007.
What brought Tolzien to Madison was his high ranking as a high school quarterback.
Coming up as in the top one hundred, Tolzien was a 2005 All State pigskin hurler.
He was also considered to be in the top five rankings for quarterbacks in the Chicago area.
He held fifteen high school records and threw 40 touchdowns. On top of the athletic achievements,
he takes his scholastic endeavors very seriously. He ranked in the top fifteen of students.
