Nick Toon is the son of Al Toon, a former Badger who also played in the NFL for eight seasons.

As a high school athlete, Nick was considered to be one of the top 25 players in the Midwest. Along with his skills as a receiver, Nick Toon won honors in kick returns.

He was a redshirt freshman in 2007. In 2008 he saw playing time in a dozen Badgers games. He had just over 250 receiving yards, ranking in the top five for Wisconsin.

His first touchdown as a Wisconsin Badger came against Cal Poly. His best game in his first year was against Minnesota on November 15.

This season Nick Toon caught six passes when playing Wofford. He scored touchdowns in both the Fresno State and Michigan State.
