Mike Preisler played at Port Washington High School on the western shores of Lake Michigan. This young man was a freshman walk-on in 2007.

On three occasions, Preisler won the Athlete of the year, twice won his team MVP, and was captain at the same time. He played line backer and running back as a senior.

In those positions, he made nearly three hundred tackles, and rushed for over 1300 yards. As with most high-performance high school athletes, Mike Preisler also lettered in basketball, wrestling, and track.
