Jonathan Casillas is a key player for the Badgers defense. This senior linebacker has earned three letters as of 2008. Going back to his first year, he played in a dozen games on special teams. Casillas stood out in the game against Minnesota when he blocked a punt that lead to a Badger win.

As a sophomore, he became a Badger starter. His game play just got better as the season wore on. He had over eighty tackles, with one dozen for a loss. In the Capital One Bowl he broke up passes twice. That same season, he blocked three punts.

In his Junior year he started in every game. He had nearly one hundred tackles in 2007. His performance in the Outback Bowl was stellar. He had ten tackles and with four of them for a loss. He had another ten-tackle game against UNLV on September 8th. On September 22nd, he racked up another ten stops. He was named as a team captain.

Prior to his college play, Jonathan Casillas was considered as a top 35 player on the East Coast.
