Dan Fahey is a lefty walk-on freshman and is a third-generation Badger. He was born in Chicago, IL and both his grandfather and father went to the University of Wisconsin, Madison and his father played baseball for the school. In high school, Fahey averaged 12 points, six rebounds and six assists per game while he was a senior captain for Saint Ignatius College Prep. He was very athletic throughout high school, also lettering in two years in both football and volleyball.
Last summer, Fahey tied the school record for the 20-meter shuttle beep test, reaching level 14.5 which is the same mark Devin Harris set in the fall of 2003. Fahey made his Badger basketball debut in the game against Cal Poly.
