A native of Lancaster Wisconsin where he attended High School, Hampton has always been prolific on the football field and just as prolific in his academics.

Hampton earned the football academic achievement award twice and was on high honor roll all four years in high school. As an active participant in football, baseball, basketball, and track he lettered in all four sports and earned all state honors as a senior in football.

Hampton Red –shirted his freshman year at UW and played for the scout team in 08’ enhancing his credentials to be a contributor to the team in the coming years.
