The Wisconsin Badger Football team plays at Camp Randall Stadium, in Madison Wisconsin. There has been a football field in that same spot since 1919. Bucky Badger the mascot may not be so old, but the Badgers history certainly goes back to the day of the Ford Model T automobile. Badger tickets are used by students, parents, and fans of the team. When you head to a Badgers game, you better wear red.
The Wisconsin Badger's mascot was created in 1940. Prior to the costumed college student, a real badger was let loose on the field. Those days are long gone. Bucky Badger is just a person, like you and me.
Wisconsin Badgers fans have their choice of sitting in the Field House end zone, to the upper deck on the sideline. The student section is generally on the north end zone.
Camp Randall Stadium holds just over 80,000 fans, and most times, they all wear red. The third quarter Jump Around dance is something new, but certainly worth watching.
The Wisconsin Badgers came back to glory in the 1990's. Barry Alverez led the Badgers to Rose Bowl glory in 1993 and 1999.
